Banned after just a few hours?

Hi.

I had this EU-Account (multilingual version) which I used to sell on RMAH when my other mainaccs slots were used up. It had a plvl ~25 barb on it with some minor equipment, about 80k dps - account about 4 to 5 month old. So last week I wrote a plugin to write down some statistics from the bot (e.g. how much gold is on it) and would push this information to my main-computer.

While developing and testing this plugin on my maincomputer I used the account I was just talking about. I botted some A3 with it while testing/improving. I have never used anything besides DB on this account, as stated before it was merely an account to sell stuff on rmah.

Now this account has been banned for maybe 5 hours of DB-usage. It's usuage pattern is identical to another sell-account I have (which is still alive) - with only one difference: I haven't used DB on this, still alive, account for months.

Conclusion is that either DB is detected - though Delevopers say no (well, they want to sell their product) or there is just a plain give-away in it's behavior (in which case it would be detected as well if you ask me - as a costumer of your product it doesn't matter for me if the software can be detected or the softwares behavior can, detected is still detected). I can't really believe Blizzard has some new fancy server-side tool which can statistically determine if it's a bot. It would probably need more data then just some hours of playing, right?
 
bad luck mate :/ if i were u i would write them a ticket and ask for ban removal. i would even admit that i turned on some party software but only for item evaulation or something stupid like that. they obviously can see how much time u botted and i think u have chances of getting ur acc back with a warrning
 
and about detection. its not anything new. i have a friend who didnt botted last 2 weeks and all his accounts got banned, even the one acc which botted last time 3-4 weeks ago
 
And thanks for the nice keylogger that was distributed through your publicly available beta. Too bad I only update when its really needed since new releases will usually be bugged - e.g. the tray-icon which came with the last release. That one was really needed since everyone was asking for this feature.

Also I noticed some strange bot behavior about 2 hours before the banhammer hit. I have two monitors sitting next to each other, I was playing some CS 1.6 thats why I noticed. Some of the bots ran into the strange artifacts where the map just ends - this is something that can sometimes be noticed when the internetconnection breaks and it fails to get new map-information from server or whatever. Some of them were just getting stuck in the lower right corner of the siedge of bastion like it has happened quite frequently in past DB releases, haven't really noticed this happening for quite some weeks.

Then some DB processes crashed (process went unresponsive). This happened the same time on the two of my botting-computers. There was no real internet-disc though, as I said I was playing some CS 1.6 and I would have noticed it. This was really confusing as the whole setup was really stable and afaik this has never happened before. I was about to open a thread on this forum asking if DB was still functional for everybody but didn't because 5 minutes after this occurence everything was right again.

Coincidence? Just wanted to let you know.

I suppose that those recent 2 patches which officially changed nothing in game, followed by massive banwaves arent just coincidence.

Exactly what happened to me , i was using my profiles that i know for sure hadnt problems and still was having strange behaviours always keeping me starting and stopping my bot to recover. The bot was tryng to walk in an open place without obstacles like instead there was a wall and he couldnt proceed.
Like if i was near a wall but i wasnt .
After start/stop it always recovered , i checked my profiles wich never had this problem before ... and still couldnt find any clue.
Now maybe i start to uderstand.

I really think this had something to do with the bans. My bots did the same thing hours before the bans, and it made me very suspicious. They got confused in Bastion's Keep, and both ran to the top of that map where they probably spent hours having little bot seizures.
