Just started playing again after a year, I log on to find my account had been closed, Checked my emails and I received an email in February, I haven't played for a year literally. Anyone else had this issue before or have I been hacked?
most likely you were hacked and someone botted the account if your timeline is true. Just call blizzard, tell them, let them review the IP login logs and they will determine if it was you or not.

Old WoW account got banned that I used to try the free trial with more than 3 years ago (dropped it like a rock after a day...got to max level in the free trial in a couple of hours...couldn't talk to anyone....and those that I could [in groups] were childish asshats). Turns out someone hacked it a year ago and made billions in gold on it before getting banned. I was playing SC2 on that account so i contacted support, they checked the IP logs along with the fact i never played WoW, unbanned me and changed my information so i'd be safe.
Just call them and tell them whats up. (except the fact you botted in the past, or plan to in the future, of course)
