Info: This is my farming account. It has an 85 pally in honor gear, with valor pts and doing dungeons. I thought that may make me look like less of a full-time farming bot. I was banned about 3-4 hours ago. Now, they are saying I was "Selling gold for irl money." Which absolutely isn't the case, which makes me believe I may be able to retrieve the account. I run 2 accounts, and I planned on telling them my brother/sister lived with me and they play the other account, and I enjoy making money. All I use the account for is AHing/Farming/Transfering to my main account. I'm currently botting my main account, leveling a new toon. More so a test to see if they've flagged my IP for botting, or what have you.

I will update when I know more about the account closure.

Be careful when transfering high ammounts of money from your b ot account to your main account. That can be flagged as gold selling, for sure (money transfers inter-account without selling anything)

You're right, I was a bit careless moving the money. I've given away small amounts: 5k gold and a stack of rubys, 10k gold another stackrubys, 10k gold. and recently xfered 30k gold and 32k gold in 2 giant hauls. So I think you may be right.

I'm going to call when their offices open. I'm not sure if they're closed for the weekend, we'll see. The story I'm going with is; My sister and I play WoW. I xfered gold to her account because she is buying us a level 25 guild.

I've gotten my main account un banned before. So we'll see if Blizz is going to let me out of lock-up again.

If you got the economic abuse message it was an automated ban and had nothing to do with gold. As long as you move the gold inside your BNET account its safe 100%, u can move millions and they dont care. Basically if you can send heirlooms its safe to mail gold.

He said he was mailing from his 2nd account which isn't safe, I agree its an auto response for the gold movement and has nothing to do with the use of the bot... You should be able to get your account reactive just with a simple email right now instead of waiting till Monday.

Also no need to list the realm name just EU or US

I own 2 accounts. Account A being my pvp/pve main. Account B being my farming account. Ive been xfering from B -> A.

I sent an email immediately last night, just wasn't sure how fast they'd be. Good news, my account was restored this morning with a cute automated email response;

Thank you for contacting us concerning the recent action taken against the World of Warcraft account WOW1. After a thorough review of the circumstances involved in this action, the account has been reopened and access restored.

Please take a few moments to look over the World of Warcraft Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use), as we take matters involving the integrity of the game environment very seriously. Please understand that should another incident of this nature arise in the future, it is possible that a different outcome will be reached, up to and including Account Closure.

The Terms of Use state that you will not "...modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Game Client or the Service in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard" or "...use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience..." Additionally, the Battle.net Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment:Battle.net Terms of Use) state that "You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the Login Information, and you will be responsible for all uses of the Login Information, including purchases, whether or not authorized by you."

So, they seem to think I've been botting but it also seems that they have no evidence and this was an automated ban. Although, I'm still concerned about moving gold to my main account. So I have a couple questions:

a) should I meet up and trade window, xfer my gold? Is that safer then mailing?
b) Make a level 1 toon. Send gold to the toon, then to my main. Then go back and delete the level 1, to attempt to destroy any trail?
c) Xfer by mail in smaller increments? 2.5K, 5K, 10K?

Any suggestions or help is super appreciated, thanks guys!

blizz can still see your logs, that "X" - traded "Y" and gave "x" amount of "y"

Use your main account toon to take out the money and send it to any toon you like on your main account. Your gold is transfered safely and easily and because you have access to the gold from two different accounts you can still get to it even if one of your accounts is colsed for some reason.

His condescending manner; "suits no point" translates into "you're an idiot." .. But I'm not about to argue with someone on a message forum. As for Hawkiz, of course thinking for yourself is beneficial. I'd know, I run my own flooring company. But, when you have a forum at your disposal, that is full of long-time users, and their experience out weighs mine by years.. I'd be an asshole, not to ask questions.

My account was closed with the same reason as OP and this is the only way I used to transfer gold, I think they are watching this kind of transfer now.
The most gold I transferred was 40k and a few days later I got the account closure notice, I have since had the account restored though with the same generic customer support response.
