Recieved a message 4th feb, banned 6 months on new account, seriously! This is 3rd account since november, seems to me honorbuddy is no longer fit for purpose, trip wire event and banned few days later, thx honorbuddy team for yet again letting us down, either shut honorbuddy down permanantly untill this problem is sorted, or rebrand it make 64 bit do somthing at least as this is taking the piss

lols. Lurkers keep this in mind; without a lot more detail we can't tell if this guy is doing silly things such as selling gold/kick botting stupidly/24-7 dungeon diving/etc or if he's just using it to run some kicks lvl 50-60
Yeah times like this the drama queens come out to play.
Not a drama queen, i been using hb for over 7 years and been suspended once and banned 3 times in 3 months, no bg farming, no kick profiles nothing only enyo and cc, honorbuddy state its safe now when clearly it isnt, i had trip wire event logged straight back out and didnt log on for 3 days after yet still banned 6 months on new account

So after last weeks tripwire event again, what exactly has changed? you guys state this detection can no longer detect hb, yet 3 times it has, alot of people that use hb rely on what the devs have to say, yes understand that you use at own risk, but after bans 3 times on 3 accounts during 3 events what has changed? Is honorbuddy now dead in the water or has rhia problem finally been sorted
So you basicly say, your "tripwire" was able to catch the scan, but accounts still got banned?
What is the use of Tripwire then, if it kicks in, when flagging already happend?
I always said Tripwire is a marketing gag and nothing more...

whats ya problem? they found out how blizz was sniffing AFTER the last tripwire event in jan. and fixed it,
you definitely got flagged if you was online in the last tripwire event .. they cant fix thinks back in the past. oO' evry1 using some brain had to know this ..
so for now its "save" untill blizz founds a new solution to catch em.

That is not true. First they said they had no idea how they were catched (May banwave last year). Then like 8 months later they said "Tripwire was wrongly configed", but they knew how warden works. Now they say, tripwire worked, but people still got banned. I am not talking about the past, nor about foreseeing what will happen. But if They start to scan, tripwire kicks in and still all get banned, then the glory tripwire does not provide any safety and is just a shutdown of Authservers...

they sayd "We have gathered certain information on how we were detected in previous banwaves"
so they wasnt able to patch the jan. tripwire, cuz they just found how they got "spoofed" after the tripwire.
lots of ppl in the forum was spamming arround if we got flagged,
most of us knew alrdy after "we have gathered...." "hell, lets save our gold and items."
next time.. use brain, dont use a bot or life with it you can get caught.

To end this once and for all this will explain it. The last "ban wave" in December did NOT include EVERYONE that should have been banned for the violation but rather a set rounded number of people. If they had banned everyone detected via the HB mistake then their support (already overwhelmed for the holidays) would have no chance of helping players who really needed it. At one point mid December they had to answer over 15,000 tickets in one day just to get their ques back within guidelines. Had they banned everyone this would cost Blizzard more in customer support resources than would be deemed worth it. So if you are just now receiving a 6 month ban it is most likely for that as you can receive that ban up to 60 days after the event (when ques are more in order). Until the 18th of this February you could still get hit for the December wave. 6 month bans happen because of detection and not player reports. Unfortunate as it may be any new account you create on the same device you were banned on using the same IP you were banned on could get banned until those 60 days are up. While a scan of your system may not detect HB directly I can assume you have NOT renamed HB to something new or updated the name of your machine since the ban wave? So Blizz scans the machine... Locates HB in the EXACT same spot with the EXACT same name as the last time they detected it and bam... they know you still have it.
TLDR - If you are EVER banned via banwave uninstall and reinstall all buddy products and rename them to something different. I would also install them to a "games" folder or folder that isnt "program files xxxx". They can ban you for up to 60 days after banwave for the banwave event.

Point 1 i use ip vanish, different ip everytime i log in
Point 2 honorbuddy exe is always renamed to sony copyright code
Point 3 brand new account on 60 day trial banned for 6months
Point 4 honorbuddy runs off a different drive totally to wow

I can guarantee you more accounts will be banned soon. I just got suspended for a new wow account I created after the original failed Tripwire occurred. On this new wow account, I mainly used Garrisonbuddy and Goldboss all in one for about an hour or two a day. The rest of the time, I play manually. I received my suspension email yesterday.. Quite frustrating.
Anyhow, I'm starting to believe HB is no longer safe to use as this is Blizzard's main bot they are eyeing on.

maybe for you but not for all, crap I had bots on during banwave and during tripwire event and not banned at all
ofcourse everyone has different experiences botting if you cannot handle the heat gtfo of the kitchen.

Don't bot if you aren't comfortable to lose your acc. It's not a case of being a neckbeard and being like "well you are going to get banned so don't be salty" but rather; follow good botting practices AND there is nothing you or HB can do that they aren't doing for us to stop us getting banned. It's just how the cookie crumbles; if Blizz decides to ban us all en mass then #ohwellweknewdarisks.
If you're botting in a silly manner, expect silly things. If you're botting with solid practices and get caught in a mass banwave then #ohwellitstheriskofusingaBOT
The forums have been fulll of the saltiest people recently my god; they're all upset they broke the games rules and that they got banned. HB has been around for years and years; Bans come in waves, its the nature of the game. Sometimes blizz will ninja patch like crazy and be a pain; sometimes blizz will do what they have been doing recently and ban loads of people together; sometimes blizz will leave us alone for literally a year+ and then do their usual pre-xpac clean out.
Read the forums lads, don't blame HB as if they're mongs (I'm not exactly their best friend/biggest supporter, but this is the 'product' and the quality we get so ya, suck it up or #peace)
