Been botting for a very long time now. Around 2 years or so. Never a problem. Never played safe. Abused this thing like no tomorrow. Sometimes ran 24/7. Still never banned until now.

The only different thing I did recently is I manually opened the game to other players while running the bot so they could join in on the rift. I didn't bot AFK when other people were in my game. I monitored chat to reply to them if they claim I am a bot or ask any questions.

The funny thing is that I didn't play Diablo for a WHOLE WEEK and didn't run bot even a single time.... and just yesterday I got an email saying I am banned.

I appealed the decision and opened a ticket asking how can I get banned if I wasn't even playing? The reply from Blizzard was that they are not claiming I did anything wrong this last week. According to them I was being monitored "for some time" and the investigation showed I was running a bot.

Therefore I can assume they have been watching me for any period of time. Maybe a year, maybe last two weeks.

My suggestion is, just because you are doing good for any extended period of time, don't think that you wont be quietly banned during your weekend away from the computer all of a sudden.

Also, I found out that Blizzard is completely merciless in their bans. They don't give you 3 strikes or anything like that. If you are caught you are instantly banned forever and you don't get any second chances. $60 for original game bought at launch + $40 for expansion.... That's $100 down into the toilet! Yay!:p:mad:

And if I could do it all over again, I would. See, it's all about sticking it to the man. ; ) Keep sticking it to the man guys.

Reply to my ticket begging for mercy and forgiveness: (in all fairness if I was forgiven I would never again bot on this particular account)

Hello!

This is Game Master Shigeakai. Thank you for contacting the Blizzard Entertainment Customer Service department.

An additional review of the action taken against the Diablo III license on [email protected] is complete. We confirmed our initial findings; the license action will not be reversed or changed.

Actions are based on the violation's severity and take previous violations into consideration. This action was taken in accordance with the Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment:Blizzard Legal Documentation) and our Diablo III Policies (https://battle.net/support/article/300722), which all players acknowledge and agree to before logging in to the game.

We understand that these policies may seem harsh, but they are in place to ensure that every player is able to enjoy their time in Diablo III. Thank you for respecting our position.
