I am banned pretty much on the last day of the season 5. I was away for 2 weeks during February and therefore fall behind on S5. For me, the only way to catch up is to bot.
I have only botted for 1 week (ester weekend and the following week) and i have never botted before.
I reached Para Level:996 before banned.
I am a programmer myself, mainly dealing with C# and C languages.
Now this is what i think Blizzard is doing:
from my point of view, it seems Blizzard may have already developed some algorithm to detect any suspicious play pattern activity.
it does not matter how long you have botted, as long as the pattern exists your account will be flagged.
After the flag they will conduct the first human review session on the suspicious data. if they find anything does not make sense, you will get banned.
if you send in an appeal, they will conduct second round human review session on the same data but with different inspectors.
So here is the conclusion, if you just want something fun for a short time and dont care about getting your account banned, go for it.
if you are considering botting but wanna keep your account, then dont do it.
unless db can break the obvious botting pattern.
Good luck everyone.
I renewed my account by purchased another copy of D3 and ROS but this time i decide not to bot anymore (for now
