Ran gather buddy for 6-8 hours every other day for like a week, never got a PM.
Sent in an appeal.
 
yeah PMs don't matter like they used to, nowdays people just right-click and report... very impersonal ^^, few years ago before that player would make sure you were a bot by whispering you.

This. Players spam them on left and right when you look suspicious.
 
Good news! I sent in my appeal around 11 this morning (est) and got a reply at 3pm stating my account would be unlocked within 72 hours.
I guess they have a hard time keeping accounts banned relying on only suspicion since HB is undetected! :)

this is standard for most bans, although they still think you're botting but they give you a 2nd chance (I got 2 final warnings before my account was fully closed)
 
Likely, I've been banned/suspended on this account before for botting and buying/selling gold, i'm probably going to set up another account for botting now as this is my personal account and I'd hate to see it go.
