I got banned, confirmed with my phone, lvl 28 i only use the bot in my city.

Yours is the first account I've seen below 30 banned.

You mention you only bot in your city.

1. What speed do you bot?
2. How long do you bot (on average) each day?
3. Do you bot every day?
4. Do you teleport or snipe?
5. Have you logged into your mobile phone with your account? If so, how often?

TBH i don't think much of that stuff matters skippy...

my account just hit 40 lastnite, bot every day for 6+hours until it auto shuts off, i have it doing 10.8km/h speed, i keep it in town, but will jump it to diff locations(given a little downtime for proper travel) and i log into my phone account daily also(not when bot is running of course)


edit: main account seems to be gone...but my alt that i made a few days ago is still fine

So based on your edit. Your account that is above level 30 and bots at high risk is banned, but your new account below level 30 is still ok?

correct, my level 40 seems to be banned and my fresh account i made on sunday is still active(22)...but i made it through multiple ban waves using the same settings... it hit 40, thats all i cared about

Not anyone's fault and nor is anyone assigning blame of any kind. We are all working together to find out what best works. Aggregating what we know and identifying patterns. We can't do that without full specifics of settings and usage patterns.

Because this has been mentioned a few times, this is not the case. There was not a forced client update. Mobile updates were rolled out over a series of days. My mobile client did not even get the update until after reports of ban started in the forum here. Even today you can install an older version of PokeMon Go on your phone and continue to use it without any issue.

Secondly, many of us (myself included) continued to bot without being banned, further suggesting it is not a matter of the api update since if "they can identify" as you suggest, we would also have been banned. Unless they are intentionally leaving some of us just to create chaos, understanding patterns of which are not banned can help us all bot safer.

I have been deliberately getting capchas by doing things wrong and your fine and ban free under level 30-31. But after that your asking for trouble. Truth be told Level 30 is fine for any account anyway as your most of the way powered up, have access to all the items and can catch the strongest level Pokemon.

Nah. I have both mine lvl 28 and 29 banned.
I doubt it's a level thing.
