has anyone been banned at all from using RB? Obviously it's not smart to bot 24/7 but I do 4-7 hours a day.

Not that i have heard of. I have been using this since it was in beta and haven't been banned once.

How were you doing it? How many hours do you use it per day, like which activities etc? Sorry so so many questions but I appreciate your time.

I mainly use it for combat assist, but i also let it do shard farming/fates over night for a few hours depending on what i need. I always use RB whenever i am playing the game so it would be at least a few hours a day. This bot seems pretty safe too as it doesn't use any of those hacking stuff that other bots use.

as the name suggests, it assists you in combat. ie it does the rotation/cool downs etc depending on the class :)

Im using this every day to do dailys / shards farming / fates and combat assists without a single ban.
I farm shards all night through with no problems.

If you want to set a timelimit, the programm "poweroff" is the one of your choice, so you can make sure your PC close all of the programm after a time-limit and shut down if you whish ;)

I farm shards or something else nearly 20 hours a day and have not had so much as a nudge. Worst I got was a comment from a guildie that I was very efficient when mining :) I acknowledge that my behavior is somewhat excessive, but there you are. It seems safe enough.

I was suspended once, a long time ago, when RB had a glitch that made it look like you were teleporting around to other people (although you really werent). It got fixed pretty quickly, I went right on botting shards, fates, etc. and haven't been bothered since. Haven't heard of anyone else getting suspended either.

Like all subscription models, SE really wants you to keep paying that $15 a month, and virtually ignores violations that aren't related to RMT. Although you should take reasonable precautions when botting in places with lots of other players and bot behavior is very obvious (not dodging AoE circles), getting banned isn't a legitimate concern for this bot.

I also leave it AFK almost all day and haven't been banned. I've found SE to be much more lenient with bans than Blizzard, that's for sure.

I usually never had this problem but I tried to use this one profile to level my botany for me and when I afked for a little bit and came back, I checked my bot and it was going back and forth and then I checked my chat logs and realized that I was reported for botting. I should've been baby sitting it. I don't know if I'm even gonna get banned which sucks and I'm debating if i should still play on this account or not. I'd rather know if I'm banned now and start on a new account.

Ouch, one report won't get you banned but can you please post logs when you see this happen?

Will do. Also I'll try to get a log for when I harvest materials and I get a message saying "too far away"

Obviously I don't want to get banned, but how many reports would it take to ban me?

No way to know but SE doesn't seem to take reports seriously. As long as a gm doesn't see you and you don't have a lot of reports, you probably don't need to worry. Unlike blizzard, they don't really care if they accidently ban someone that never botted.

My account got locked today for security purposes but I suspect that may have been because I connected to my company's VPN and my IP changed. All I had to do was go to a link in my e-mail and reset my password.

Yeah that's just what happens if you login from a different IP. Nothing to worry about.

They won't ban just from reports. A GM has to actually check and confirm that you're botting, which can be difficult for them without whispering you. Also, you'll never just get a ban from first offense, worst is a 3-day suspension. Obviously though, you should try to avoid that as I'm sure it flags your account and makes future botting more difficult.

Do you have an idea or guess around which time would they log in and check up on me that way I can avoid it o.o? I now only bot at night until morning like 9pm-7am.

I'm fairly sure it's pretty random timing when they look into people.
Though I've found myself not logging or stopping for weeks at a time. Seriously, who gathers shards and crystals for 168 hours, with some dungeons and crafting and stuff weaved in there? Nobody. Botters do... And it feels like as long as we're not spamming the hell out of people, or RMTing this gil away, they probably don't really care. They've learned from XI, botters = accounts, accounts = money. Square <3's money, Looks at the cash shop. Paid dyes and shit, ffs, for a sub game, it's almost insulting, but back to topic:

If you're just being paranoid, I wouldn't worry about it, I've been using profiles that DO make me look like a bot for some time now, and I still haven't had an issue with it. I probably should try to fix those glitchy looking profiles, but, I really think you're fine. if you wanna make it look legit, get a second account, get it in your FC (don't invite it yourself, if you wanna really be paranoid), and only exchange money through the FC chest, Don't get me wrong, GM's can totally still see all that, I'm sure, but it's GOTTA be more obscure than sending 10 mails with 1,000,000 gil in them, or 2 mails with 50,0000 shards and 50,000 crystals in them (or whatever.)

I know someone who does this with Viper, while i leaned towards RB, he's mined hundreds of thousands of shards, sold them, and given all the money to his main via trade, still going just fine too. Again, I really don't think square gives a damn as long as you're not inflating stuff too much, or RMTing it.

Honestly, your biggest fear should be friends, fc, and ls members.
