Ban or Suspension?

Does WoW even ban any more? I thought they moved to a 6-month suspension for the first offense and an 18-month suspension for the second offense. Anyone know what they do for a 3rd offense? Thanks!

I have had accounts perm banned for first offense with just botting all through WoD, but it seems like they are doing 6-month bans with the new xpac coming out.

Unsure if this is going to be a new trend or what.

they ban so random - no one can say for sure what ban you get if you get caught.

Banned ppl in banwave get all the same punischment but outside of a banwave they ban perma or 6month its absolutly random (i got banned on 2 accs on the same day for 3rd party - 1 got perma and the other 6month. both accs on same battle net and both first offense)

6 month suspensions are triggered by player reports and banwaves.

permanent bans are for abuse of economy if you are moving gold.

its of course not absolutely random. Throw a toon into firelands and do 24/7 you wont get a 6 month, you will just get the perm ban at some point.

run an outside mining/skinning profile you'll get the 6 month after a couple of weeks if you ate too many player reports.
