I always wanted to know how many bots got banned since April 2013, many people post in the thread, but as more people update the posts the threads become bumped while newer ones are pushed.

It makes it hard to track the Bans that do occur and as a result, many think of theories but they may be false or true but no actual fact were given.

This thread is for those looking to be open about their bans, what they were doing, profiles, and hours of botting per day. Vent all the reason you were banned.

When answering the poll question refer to bans that occurred after April 2013, nothing before as then we can take into account the recent bans, versus the past which no one cares.

Altogether from April 2013 to date how many of you have been banned, and if you were banned how many accounts did you lose.

I was banned too today on a EU realm.

I has activated my account since a long time, 3 days before. at first i watched the bot working every 20mins. and tomorrow i sleeped for 5 hours and the bot was running. but as i returned to my pc, i was disconnected from wow. yesterday it was strange, as i returned to my pc after 30 mins, i got a black screen IN wow ! so i cant move, see nothing, cant logout ! but i see my interface and my titan panel for example.

@ the end, btw i thought it would be safe .... i used the randombuddy plugin which generates my every 8 mins a new profil ! and i dont farmed the same area, i farmed the whole continent.

so i used it for 2 days only, and only 7 hours on the day. i get 2 strange glitches in the game and this could be the answer ... i think @ yetserday with the disconnect, there was 10 times the same message in honorbuddy :

this is very bot like i think and if the bot get caught on the same point and show a strange movement for 5min for example, i was the target number one
 
9 acc perma -> everytime overturned into 72h ban -> first ban -> create new account -> transfer 90 lvl to new account -> botting
-> start leveling with questbot on 72h banned account :)
 
I lost about 6 during Wotlk, 2 during cata, and now 3 during MoP.

= 11.

Should note that from Cata and MoP, none are related to gold selling.
 
I play from cata intensively and i was never banned.
I don't make money from HB and i never used gatherbuddy.
I use HB only for leveling and raiding with lazyraider.

Oh, and when i use it i don't afk, never.

wow, i guess i got better at botting. i lost 20+ accounts from november2012 to january2013. but im curious, why does no one care about old bans?
 
im not banned for more then 10months now :) on a few accounts but then i dont use gatherbuddy or bgbuddy i only use questbot and arena botting and pve raid botting that is what i do manually also bg with hb so i choosed Not Banned To Date.
 
I got the perma ban 3 days ago funny thing is I haven't opened my bot in months so really confused as to how they detected me botting...pretty pissed off actually. Trying to appeal as we speak.

After losing my botting account a few weeks ago, I've received a suspension on my main account now for 72 hours (never botted 1 second on it) so I'm positive I'm being watched. Sucks!
 
I just got banned two days ago on my only acc, I botted pretty obviously in the sense i left it running for 10+ hours farming herbs in MoP and only used one profile for about 2 weeks lol pretty dumb i know , anyways i legit was drunk and decided to appeal it and wrote them a paragraph saying basically someone used my computer and downloaded a bunch of malware and other crap ( i went into way more detail and if anyone wants to pm me for more info on how and what i said to get them to overturn the ban feel free ) but anyways i went on a whim this BS story that a blizz employee couldnt deny or put fault on me and within 24 hours i was able to log in and play again now im nervous to bot that account but happy none the less the ban was completely overturned :)
 
Last year I've been banned with my only 1 account with 10x 90lvls that I played for 6years. I've been farming with GB2 and bgbuddy, changed profiles always. Blizzard have sent me email with 72h notice, and I've stopped to use Gb2, thought that's was the problem. After suspension I've used BgBuddy for couple of hours, not more like 2-3 hours and recieved perma ban came day. So be careful about bgbuddy at day time. Now I've started new acc and not using bot without my attention to it.
 
9 MOP accounts down, all tied together in a gold selling market. All banned at the same time.. Lasted over a year and a half, so i cant really complain.
 
Wow! If this poll is to be believed, then nearly 50% of users have had at least one account banned in the last 5 months.

I've lost over 150 accounts. 5+ dsnt really seem to do that justice :)

Everytime i read these i LMAO people crying about BOtting for 12-72 straight and then gets the ban hammer then QQ's on forums you people make my day plz keep this up
 
Used HB for like 3y now and still 0 bans only farm on 2x accs. But have always mixed all my toons up with doing difrent stuff never done 5+ h gather.
