Am I just putting the badnodes.xml into the gb folder then leaving it as is or do I have to do anything with it.

If you dont put one in at all GB will make one when it needs to. If you want to add one you got from someone on here just put in GB folder yes.

Then when a new version of GB comes out make sure copy over the badnodes to new version folder before deleting old one.

Also something else to keep in mind is the format of the badnodes. For the US part of world it will look like
<bad_location><name>Obsidium Deposit</name><waypoint>4270.479 -3386.833 1021.632</waypoint><comment>Manual add</comment></bad_location>

And for people in EU side of planet will look like
<bad_location><name>Obsidium Deposit</name><waypoint>4270.479, -3386.833, 1021.632</waypoint><comment>Manual add</comment></bad_location>

Notice the commas
Good to keep in mind when adding badnodes posted on forums, and it just wont work for some reason. Check with badnodes added auto from GB to know which one for sure you need.

if i understand what i think you mean

no, if your downloading different banNode.xml from different profiles and trying to put them all into the same folder they will overwrite themselves so ultimately you will only end up with the last badNode.xml you put into the folder all the time, or you will have to rename the badNode.xml and that does not work. So what you need to do is download the badNode.xml copy the contents then paste the contents into the badNode.xml which alrdy lives in the gatherbuddy folder.

And from what in2fun said

4270.479 -3386.833 1021.632 this is usa

4270.479, -3386.833, 1021.632 this is euro with the commas

change it manually depending on where you are i think :)

I think the Wiki was wrong about this for a while. The new Wiki pages...
[wiki]Gatherbuddy Profile Tag: nodesBlacklist[/wiki]
[wiki]Gatherbuddy: Waypoints and OS Locale[/wiki]

...reflect our current understanding of the US versus EU difference in Gatherbuddy. The commas do exist for EU client users, but they are used as a radix-point instead of number separators.

I never got a EU user to respond to my request and confirm the correctness of the information. If any EU WoWclient user cares to confirm/deny the understanding, it would be much appreciated.

cheers,
