I got burnt out from playing WoW so I unsubscribed. Now that I'm back, I would love to know what's the current status of botting/hacks/etc. Some of my accounts got permanently banned from PQR etc. Is herbalism and mining bot still "safe"? How about battlegrounds? Any news or warnings are appreciated.

I have "heard" the mining/herb profiles and such have been getting swamped with bans...not sure on the accuracy of that as I don't do farming of herbs/ore. However, I do use the combat routines on all 11 of my toons, and have not had an issue yet. I do some moderate arena, a lot of BG's and tons of LFR and Flex. No issues so far. *knock on wood*

Yeah, my main purpose of using HB at the moment is just to use the routines as I can't be bothered to play manually on the farm bosses. Good to hear it's still ok after what happened to PQR.

No to gatherbuddy and bgs if you value your account :)

Is gatherbuddy detected? Or a lot of the mining/herbalism nodes being monitored? Does this include low level herbs and ores as well? How about fishing and archaeology? Sorry for the tons of questions, I looked through the ban reports but it seemed like usual stuffs, didn't see any "ban wave" from particular bots or profiles.

one main reason GB2 is so detectable is 1: getting stuck or flying the same path and other players report you. and 2: using the same public profile for hours/days, wow can track the paths you take and can see that the "bot" hit the same line of pixles 18 times in one day when if it was a "player" you would Never hit the same line of pixles maybe twice in a week.. so thats a red flag. "safest" gb2 profiles are private and extreemly random ones that cover multiple zones.

as of BG bans, 80% from player reports, its clear your botting when 5 ppl mount up at same spot run 30 ft and bare right randomly at the same spot and so on. 20% from gm monitoring the games and seeing somthing fishy.

best bet is to always monitor the bot and use CR / lazy raider, kicks/others questing and bot smart = boting safe.
