Back after 3 years. Need advice.

I'm back to wow after 3 years. I left in pandaria and just bought legion cause I liked new class so much...
In the past I used to bot a lot. Basically I didn't even do the rotations... I got used to botting and now I feel kinda lost without the bot.
I have a lifetime license but I'm afraid to use it. I have never been banned but some of my guildmates were hit by the big banwave that happened in Wod. So, in the end, I'm here to ask you: how safe is botting these days? Is HB still invisible to the warden? If I just do a few hours (3-4) per day, non group activities (so, no one can report me) will I be safe? What if I use it just for rotations? Can I get banned because of that? I read somewhere that "nothing that injects is safe", but I remember from my botting days that HB was supposed to be invisible to the warden...
I just wanna know its current status. I will appreciate any information you can provide me.

well is less safe than before now, i also was not until WOD end, some people are being banned in BGS and doing quests, bg bot are terrible now, they dismount, run in to doors.. etc full of errors, if you wanna use it i sugest you to ban Strand on the ancients and isle of conquest.

It's as safe as it's ever been. If you are worried about your account, don't bot. There have been massive banwaves every so many months and we haven't had one in a while. Some will say it's detected. Some will say they've been botting for 30 years and never got caught. It's all timing and luck to not get caught. You can of course do things that prohibit being caught like only using rotations, etc. One thing I would not do is bot in PvP. That is like a sure-fire way.

That being said. Ive been botting since WoTLK and never been caught. Maybe it was because I always used my own profiles, maybe it was luck and good timing as you said. This is my main account with server first achievments. I feel blessed to say the least.

Agreed. I've been botting on my account since Glider days. Only got caught once for a 6 month ban back last year sometime. It's all about luck and not botting 24/7 and posting everything on AH in 200 stacks >.< haha.

Well for the time being I was just planning on using it for rotations. No farming / BG / pvp. Is it 100% safe if you only do rotations?

I recall many claims during the May 2015 and Dec. 2015 banwaves that people were suspended despite using rotations only. Not sure if they're telling the truth. Many people claimed that HB was detected during one or more banwaves. I think a point we can all agree on is that it's impossible to be 100% certain.
