Avoidmob ?

Good afternoon...

I'm just looking for confirmation either way regarding the functioning of the avoidmob tag. I'm creating a skinning profile, and even though I listed the mob (I think correctly, should it be in the grindarea portion perhaps?) in the avoidmob section, it has killed it a few times along the way.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Perhaps there's another tag I should be using or another way to achieve the same goal. I only want to skin beasts/creatures, and avoid the other mobs. Thank you.

The <AvoidMobs> element doesn't work quite the way most people expect--it doesn't actively avoid the mob. Instead, the <AvoidMobs> element prevents Honorbuddy from showing 'initial aggression' toward the mob, but Honorbuddy will defend itself, if that mob attacks Honorbuddy. The documentation for AvoidMobs is here...

In addition to the forums, the Wiki provides a wealth of information for helping you write profiles. Here's the starting point...

For skinning, that is the same thing as a 'grinding profile'. Our starter profile for this is here...

Thank you. Yes, that's exactly where I started. I saw it initiate an attack on a mob, not defend itself when it got attacked. I was using a level 80 toon, and the mobs were level 5. I'm going to play with it a bit more, and if I see it happen again I'll post the profile and the HB log, in the hopes that you or someone else can help me figure out what's going wrong. Thanks again for your help.
