My DK is equiping Spirit items. I have an item in bag 31Stam 32 STR hes equiping 41Stam 31Int gear.

Im not gonna lie i changed my values in Weight Sets but ive since then replaced the folder from original install. No luck so then i reinstalled the whole bot. No luck i cant get my stats back to STR

[AutoEquip]: Equipping Legs "Legplates" instead of "Legplates" - it scored 66744 while the old scored 59120

BloodDK main stat is STA, not STR. The new item has 10 more STA and is, therefore, better than the old item.
If you want it to equip STR items you'll have to increase the value of STR in your weight set.

not true though Deathknight-Blood.xml shows STR 100 Stam 20 then mastery 50 dodge50 parry50 or close to that im not at home im at work so not sure exactly but looks to be weighted to grab STR

Quite true indeed. Next to that; the numbers in the OP do not even come close to corresponding to those stats....

Im confused? Your XML shows different numbers? and whats OP?

OP = Opening Post.

What I'm saying is that the items you mention can never have the scores you mention.
31 STA + 32 STR will amount to 3820, not 59120.
41 STA + 31 INT will amount to 820, not 66744.

So either your stat weights .XML files are still wrong or those aren't the items mentioned in Autoequip's message.

You are right those weren't exact stats I'm paranoid to post the exact gear it was. But still hes equipping pally gear and was looking for a way out of it.

then still it's a stat weight issue. The numbers 59120 and 66744 depict the total value of the item according to stat weight. If the old item has so little STR in comparison to the other stats on the item that the new item's iLevel far outweighs the old then indeed you're going to equip the new item. And that isn't necessarily bad since the new item most probably increases your damage output even though it doesn't have STR.

44STR 53Stam 58 Crit VS 86Sta 38Int 56Spir

Hes equipping the 86Sta 38Int 56Spir?
Is it because Stam now adds Att Pwr and the Auto equip is just smarter than me? If it was to mee id grab the STR and STAM

I've always thought it would be a good idea for the main gear pieces (Head, Shoulders, Hands, Legs, Feet, Weapon) to have a requirement to contain the primary stat for the class. I've been too lazy to do it myself, but it would be a matter of adding one line for each spec to the weight class and then a little bit of logic.

I was leveling a Balance druid not too long ago (for gear overlap with Resto) and AE2 kept putting on every piece of Agility gear it could find because the amount of Stamina on Cata stuff was blowing the item scoring way off. If it was something like "Equipping <item>. Item has primary stat (Intellect). New item scored 100, old item scored 50." that would eliminate this kind of stuff.
