This route has lots and lots of Emperor Salmon in addition to pools of other fish such as Krasarang Paddlefish. Additionally I've noticed that there is a very high chance to find Sealed Crates with random amounts of money, cloth, food items, and other things inside. Very much like you would find in Darkmoon Faire fishing pools, even more so because each one has some sort of darkmoon faire food inside. There are virtually no spots to get stuck since it is completely open and the zone has very few trees. The spawn time on pools is very high so circling around this path for hours won't give you a problem at all.
If you aren't interested in keeping the crates of loot I would suggest using some sort of loot filtering addon or something to keep them from staying in your inventory. Or if you know of a way to make the bot open them please feel free to post it here and I will add it to the main post.
On another note, if you are looking for an easy way to collect Iron paw tokens you could easily use these fish to make baskets of groceries and turn them in for 1 Iron Paw token. That is assuming that you have far more than you need to sell and you also have the repeatable quest opened up.
