Auto-grats etc

Hello, new to the forums... been botting a couple of months.

Anyway, I was sat here reading through some of the ban posts while i'm eating a chicken kebab and herbing in TH... However a thought popped in my head... I am the GM of a social levelling guild always 30+ members online and people getting cheeves left right and centre. I have the auto gratz add-on with about half a dozen phrases set in.

Do you think that having such an add-on, illustrating you are chatting in guild... albeit "gz mate" or "GZ!" would indicate to a GM a less "botty" nature? Is chat logs something they would look at?

In addition I use super guild invite, and every so often 2 or 3 times a day, spam invites to people (yes i know people hate it... but more members = more legit cash for me!!! lol).

Did you modify your autograts addon? I've found two so far, and neither work. I found AutoGrats, and AutoGrats Continued. Both cause LUA errors as soon as I log in to the game. I went with a secondary one called GunGrats, but I can't figure out how to personalize the message like you can in AutoGrats. I have to make several general grats messages and leave it at that. I'd like to be able to have the message use their name, or class, or whatever.

As for your question, I can't really answer it. I'm in a guild with over 500 members, and I have my GunGrats set to grats at about an 85% rate, so it's not going off every single achievement. People laugh at my messages, and from time to time I get random whispers from guild mates about my messages, lol.

And thats whats in the interface option under autogratz... you can put %n i think it is and it says the persons name... but when people have names with queer letters in... looks a bit daft me going Gratz B?rth?l?m?w... as if i'd type that.

There's an addon somewhere that get'd rid of lua errors so they dont display... or it might be part of ElvUI...

Yeah, that's the one I downloaded. I can't even open the interface for it. Ah well, GunGrats works well enough I suppose, but I do thank you for showing me which one you're using.
 
I hate those addons that auto grats people their so noob id kick people who had it. Its a literal waste of space if you cant be arsed to actually tell someone grats then your lazy as fuark and any GM who investigated would be able to read all the logs you responding at the exact time after achievement announcement with exact same words.
 
Well you two both miss the boat then, the whole point is to make your bot seem more like a person. I have my respond list with all sort of random messages, changes in capitalization and sometimes just smiley faces. You can also make the response happen on a percentage chance... so yeah you both just do not get it. That's fine that you do not understand the purpose, but you do not have to be such opinionated internet know it alls.
