Just a heads up, every time there is a ban wave about 3 weeks or so before it happens i start getting an auth request everytime I log into wow.
I have no proof that this is a legit way to see a banwave coming, just an observation for the last 3 waves.

It would be a wierd way to predict a banwave. Not saying impossible but what would two have to do with eachother

thanks for the warning, actions been taken

Mock all you want this guy was clearly right. I'm joining Flat Earth Society and Chemitrails movements now :)

I Just assume its a precaution for banning accounts they have to make sure it is you playing the account for the banwave if you have an authenticator.

Most people will never see the authenticator pop up because they use battlenet to launch wow. But if your a botter you have a tendency to go old school and load from the wow.exe this is how i get the authenticator request everytime.
When the banwaves are done the request stops.
To me i thought it was enough of a coincendence to make this thread. Its not proof but it is an indicator that maybe they are doing security checks 24/7 during the weeks they detect the bots.

do you have a dynamic isp? go whatismyipaddress . com when you get on computer and see if its changing ip.

yes they did stop.

Then it happened again first time since the waves. Then when i made the post it stopped again. Probably a fluke Or a router reset.

I know its silly but right before the waves happen they are non stop auth requests every single log in. This time was a fluke.

Since a certain point a year ago, I could not get away of Auth requests on my main, no matter what (always use the same IP address since years, and no WoW stuff wiped on its comp since years too)

It may sound silly but even if its coincidental you were not wrong last time.

True, and while I don't personally see a connection. The data is helpful regardless, and I would encourage more people to make these kinda posts

A post like, "Hey, this is probably stupid, but figured you guys should see" is wayyyyy better than a dead or toxic forum community.
