Authenticators: Bad or Good when trying to contest a ban?

Yesterday I added a mobile phone authenticator to my main account. Let's say for instance I get banned and try to protest my story. Obviously my story will be less believable because each time I log on, I have to use my authenticator. Yes, the authenticator helps prevent some hackers, but in the end does it make botting on authenticator-protected accounts less safe? I would like to hear your input.
 
Ive been botting for years with an authenticator for years. I dont believe it makes a diffrence if you have one on your account or not. What matters is how you bot. I over the past few years have never been hit with a ban or anything using HB or GB. Just bot smart and not bot 24/7 for a month or over use the AH.
 
I had a main get banned once, and I could have easily used the "I got hacked story" cause I'd login from different machines quite often. EXCEPT I had an authenticator attached so that didn't fly. As long as you use a uncommon password, keep your OS patched, use a half decent firewall, have a good antivirus; you do not need an authenticator and are only a hindrance.

Thanks for your reply, I just removed my authenticator. If I do get banned, I think I would be better off by having a sob story in my arsenal than totally getting screwed by an auth. :)
 
i have an auth an my main because i am hacked for an few time in the past:(

when you are use an relog its sometime bad
you have an option whare you van choiche if you want everytime the code or once in the few times
