Authentication Failed!

Bot worked fine last night and when I woke up this morning all I would get when attempting to log on is

Logging in...
Authentication failed!

I have just kept hitting the button like some people have done, but with no success. When I checked the txt file in the log folder, it says this

[20:31:39.227 V] 188.165.234.190 is not a valid host entry address. [auth2.buddyauth.com]
[20:31:39.227 N] Authentication failed!
[20:31:39.791 N] Logging in...
[20:31:39.792 N] Authentication failed!
[20:31:40.208 N] Logging in...
[20:31:40.209 V] 188.165.234.190 is not a valid host entry address. [auth3.buddyauth.com]

Any idea what that means?
 
Delete everything related to buddyauth in your hosts file.
 
Now the log looks like

[20:48:27.582 N] Logging in...
[20:48:28.339 N] Authentication failed!
[20:48:29.071 N] Logging in...
[20:48:29.796 N] Authentication failed!
[20:48:30.574 N] Logging in...
[20:48:31.272 N] Authentication failed!

Same as me.
 
Im having the same issues currently. After reading what you suggested I deleted the hole program and re-downloaded it and I still have the same problem. Any other suggestions?
 
Auth server(s) are totally dead. And this problem was supposed to be fixed?
 
wait till the servers are fixed! there is nothin u can do by yourselfes
 
Seems like its not our problem. Sounds like a server issue or HB issue.

The auth server is down so there's probably not much you can do about it. We are all having the same issue.
 
Why the hell moderator says to delete hosts file. How the hell he doesnt know auth servers are down lol.
 
People have posted that the servers are back up. Unless they all just went down again.....
 
same as with all service providers... It's not our fault.. so it must be on your side..lol.
 
The auth server came up for 1-2 hours, but its back down again.
