Authentication failed. Unable to connect to Buddy servers

hi guys i just got a new pc, i went through windows 8 compatiblility, directx9, 32bit client etc and i keep getting a thing come up before i can even type my code in "Authentication failed.
Unable to connect to Buddy servers". what should i do now?
