Authentication Failed: Unable to connect to Buddy servers. See attached. Bot updated fine. Tried to install a fresh version from Installer, reloaded computer etc

are you sure the key your trying to use is the same one listed on the buddyauth website? are you sure theres no spaces before or after your key?


if your sure, try flushing your dns

reset your host file back to default.

and try power cycling your home router.

I am having the same problem, when it starts up it goes into the Authentication Failed: Unable to connect to Buddy servers and it wont even let me enter my own key, I have reformatted my hard drive

Yes key is correct - no spaces, I used the same key for years
I flushed DNS (reload does it but just in case did ipconfig /flushdns)
Checked hosts file - nothing suspicious there...
Power cycled router, disabled antivirus, checked that windows firewall already disabled - same problem after all that

Yes, I was also able to login and verify my key

make sure you dont have a software firewall or a router or whatever blocking access on port 5031.

It is open. To verify I used telnet to port

telnet buddyauth.com 5031
It goes to black screen, which usually means connection is established and I can see that in netstat. If firewall blocked it it would hang.

Found an issue. I had to disable loobpack interfaces and vmware interfaces. Bot was probably using one of them for connection. It should not. Thanks for the help!

Try a 'clean install' to clear the issue:
