Authentication Failed: Server Error

Hi there,

Been seeing this occur every now and again over the past few months, but a lot more frequently the last few days.

I've seen a number of other reports from other users of similar issues as well, although not sure what the solution has been. There was a thread floating around where HB staff had asked for people who can produce the error consistently to contact them.

Basically when logging in I get an error message stating "Authentication Failed. Server Error."

If I press okay, and try again it works fine usually.

This is very frustrating as i use HBRelog over a LOT of characters, and this halts the entire process.

Please advise on solutions to this (I understand from previous posts this had been attributed to transient network problems at OVH - if that is the case might I suggest a 30 second timeout on the error message followed by a retry?).

are you sure the key your trying to use is the same one listed on the buddyauth website? are you sure theres no spaces before or after your key?

reset your host file back to default.

and try power cycling your home router.

I notice a lot of times exceptions being thrown when downloading meshes, however they automatically retry so it doesn't cause a problem. My internet connection is otherwise perfect from what I can see (consistent low latency and no packet loss), but if you would like me to MTR to a specific IP then let me know the IP
