I have no wowconomy experience or economy experience for that matter, and I'm curious, with Auctionbuddy, does it do all the work for me in terms of using the Auction house? I understand you need to find the average price, buy low, sell high, undercut, etc.. But I don't trust myself enough to try. Thanks in advance.

it depends on server, what items you want to flip and of course if you have a profession that can alter the raw materials. also, how much material/money you have to start can influence things as well as to how "big" you want to go and how fast.

i'd personally tell you to take your time and watch the market for now as patch time means prices are high and its not a good time to buy in (unless it's from me, then buy it all!).

sadly 5.2 landed faster than i was ready for it (still releveling my farmers) and i only made 200k or so in the opening days.

until the next big patch though, id look at the small flux in prices around the raid/conquest point week reset as that's where you'll see places to get into the game with less risk.

Ok, so I understand that now's not the best time, but, I need to know how my bot can play into this, aside from farming materials or milling/prospecting/smithing, how can my bot help with AH flipping

I'm not sure if you're supposed to do this or not, but i'm posting this so this gets to the top of the list?

No, you're not supposed to do that.

AHBuddy can do this for you, as you mentioned yourself. It will buy stuff at the price you choose and sell the stuff at the price you choose.
You can make money with this method, just like flipping stuff manually. But you can also lose money, just like flipping stuff manually. It's a bit of a gamble, especially of not done properly.

Ah, so it DOES require some knowledge on prices of things, so I could...use auctioneer, scan the AH for a week or so, auctioneer gives me average price? i set sell price a little higher, and buy price a little lower? something like that? Thanks for the answer btw, I know i'm not the only one curious
