The ascent has always been one of the pain points of GB. I decided to try and speedhack with GB today and notice that amount that it goes up after a gather appears to be a predetermined amount of time.
If this is true and that amount of time can be variable then please enable this option.
It seems to me that this is one of the only things about GB that people consistently talk about as being not quite what it should be.
