I recently bought a new laptop that had Windows 8.1 preinstalled, and was kicking myself in the ass because I couldn't find a stable relogger for the new OS, I believe because 8.1 has factory .net 4.5 and you are not able to install 4.0 as it's an older version.
I played around with Arelog's compatibility settings and got it running so I thought I would post here incase it will help anyone out as well.
For those running Win8 wanting to use Arelog:
-Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Windows features on the left hand side -> Check the old .net framework boxes
-Right click Arelog -> Properties -> Compatitibility
-Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP service pack 2
-Click Run this program as administrator
-Download latest version of microsoft visual studios for any dll's you may be missing - express version is free
-Restart Computer
-Success
