Are VPNs Reliable?

Hey guys,

I am currently using HB and plan to start some gathering and questing. I was just wondering if it was worth getting a VPN, preferably PingBuster, to use while I am botting. I would not jump between IPs often to make it look realistic. If somehow I got banned, what are my chances of getting the account back if I used PingBuster correctly?

I used to use a VPN, but sometime near the end of last year, any suspicious IP login results in your account getting locked.
It's not a ban, just a security measure. You manually verify your ownership and it's all good again.

I think when Blizz logs that you log in via another IP withing a day or 2, it flags as suspicious.

So VPN's to me aren't reliable anymore. I just bot on my main IP.

Well, I haven't used a vpn very often; but I have used a VPN to "test" something.
I got banned for this test (well, that was what I expected) and I complained.
They restored my accout due the detected the foreig access.

But I would't say this will work all the time or will work if you used the vpn nonstop.
If you use a vpn all times, blizzard may thing you are selling power level services and they will take a depper look

So I wouldn't use pulic vnp for longer periods. If you need a VPN (maybe you don't wont to have your the same ip with your main account)
I would recommand to buy a cheap vpn server and make your own private VPN.

I recommand: the usage of a VPN isn't realy usefull for longer periods

dont use a VPN i did back then /w another game... i got asked by a GM in that game "How's a different IP log's in when you are out and you never try to login until he's out and all he does is level you up and does weird activities?, Yet now you claim that you are hacked and want the ban removed?, until you want provide me with a good answer the ban won't be lifted"

i got ashamed and confessed got the account back in 2 weeks "after confession" and he asked me not to bot.. and i didn't for 3 months just to remove suspension and then used my own ip to bot..

if you want to use a VPN just put that question in your head.. if you got a good answer then just go ahead and do it.

I use VPN services all the time I pay $2 a month and good thing is they use static IP's But I can also change to a different server when ever I want. I just find VPN to be more safer in a way then just using your home address since mine is Static. I have a main account that I have never botted on and never will. but thats my opionon
