Hey guys, I've been looking around a bit and wanted to talk about this. Currently I've believed that Running 1 virtual machine per client/bot with a VPN and a kill-switch to prevent IP leaks was the most efficient way to bot PoE. Using VMWare to produce multiple virtual machines would create multiple hwid's and the vpn would mask each ip address and mac address; while at the same time only using 1 shared folder for all of the applications across all of the VMs. I've botted WoW in this fashion before and I could get 3 virtual machines up and running with WoW botting effectively and room to spare for me to do whatever. But with path it seems I can't really bot more than 2 clients without freezing and stuttering caused by my i5-3570k maxing out. Even running the bot and PoE puts my CPU at around 35-40% ignoring the other stuff going on in the background. I've read some stuff on this forum that makes me question whether this is the most efficient use of my computer's resources. I've seen mention of "poeSmoother" and I know the trick to lower the graphics down to runescape style stuff. But does anyone have anything they can tell me to lead me in the right direction of more efficient ways to bot this? I'm tossing around the idea of getting a server pc with 32 cores; which I believe would do well with virtual machines but I want to make sure I am doing everything efficiently before I make a purchase.

That poesmoother screwed my game I wouldn't advise using it, I would always come back to corrupt content.gpk errors after pc restarts. I personally dont think there is much wrong with the game running in a VM while not using the bot which make me wonder that its the bot do something bad or its not very optimized yet. Even when I run the bot outside a vm it still feels clunky.

EB is well behind in development compared to HB and always will, but I dont think it gets the love and attention like HB does either.

Even so I know some users achieve 10+ bots running simultaneously so I feel like I am missing something big.

poe smoother is really only good for dom or high graphic area's. The way I understand it is vm's will always never be completly smooth, just usable. Also I try not sharing the same folder, try using a seperate path of exile . exe on each vm and see how that gboes

Are u guys using VMWare workstation or whatever the one that lets u run VM's? Are you making any custom edits to any of the files? I had just basically setup windows 7, load it, load the drivers, import GGG/EB folders, use a frame limiter, vpn, and killswitch.

Is there any real reason to have an individual folder for each? If I did it I'd need to move the VM's to a HDD off of my 240 SSD.

i use individueal folders because i read the client sends info when it logs in, not sure if ggg acutally uses it, but i just use it as preference. Also I use vm player. No file editing
