Are the bans permanent?

In the recent banwave everyone who got banned got a mail saying they got a 6 months ban but i've heard some rumors about it actually being permanent. And when i try to log into my account that got a 6 months ban i get the error saying "This World of Warcraft account has been closed and is no longer available for use. Please got to ... for further information and i get the same error message when logging into my permanently banned account, but im pretty sure it would say "This account has been temporarily suspended"

you need to contact blizzard. HB staff has no information about your wow account.

No it's 6 month.... i try to appeal and they answer me that i'll get back my account at nov 13.....

it would be better if he contacted blizzard about his own account. there were many permabans that were issued as well. or from what is being reported on the forums. its best to go to blizz and get an honest answer.

no offense to exdeus, but all bans are not equal.

Blizzard has also send you an e-mail (check spam folder if not in inbox) which will also state if 6 months suspension or something else.

i asked as well if its a perma or a 6 months ban cause my account says banned...

the answer was:

A) Der Account wurde für 6 Monate für die Benutzung von automatisierender Software für WoW geschlossen.
B) Er wird am 13. November 2015 abends wieder automatisch geöffnet.
C) Ein offizielles Statement findet man hier: Maßnahmen gegen Bots - Foren - World of Warcraft.


A) was closed for 6 Months for use of ilegal software
B) will be reopened on 13. November 2015
C) official Statement... Maßnahmen gegen Bots - Foren - World of Warcraft.

so if you are not sure you should ask them like frosticus said...

No it's 6 month.... i try to appeal and they answer me that i'll get back my account at nov 13.....

All the e-mails I got says 6 months and I done 5 appeals all for different accounts and the reply back was also 6 months.

It doesn't matter what your account says. Blizz's system isn't setup to tell you how long you're banned for from the launcher or your account page.

The only thing that really matters in this situation is the email you received. If it says you were suspended for 6 months then you were suspended for 6 months. End of story.

Well, i did 1 appeal and got back the msg that it was permanent. I dunno if it was just an error because it was prolly an automated msg (yea Blizz, ban the filthy botters and then use a "bot" to reply to the tickets...whohoo), since i originally got the 6 month e-mail with account activation on Novemmber 13th...

Wrote another ticket asking which ban i was facing after all yesterday morning. No reply yet.... Do they even reply to any ticket after 1 appeal?
