Archeology Question

Hey there! Just curious if it makes a diffrence where i use archeology etc, im currently 420 arch and lvl74 in kalimdor. Does it matter what items that drops etc? Should i change spot?

Well, ofcourse it depends. It depends on what items you want, items obtained via nightelf-fragments are most common in Kalimdor, therefore smartest to farm that continent.
Dwarf on the other hand is more common on eastern kingdoms, so it depends on what items you want when you choose where to Arch.

If you're just looking to level it up, you can do that in the old world (Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms), Outland or even Cata (I think you can do it at there at 420 - if not, maybe at 425). BUT as amputations said, if there is something you're actually doing Arch for, then you should focus on the continent that has more of those archy nodes to increase your chances.

If you are just trying to level arch or using Arch to level your toon I suggest you just stay in Eastern Kingdom until lvl 80 then switch to Outlands or Northrend until 84 or even 85. If you do this you won’t even have to upgrade your gear. However, at lvl 80 the Cata dig sites open up and your toon can easily get its ass handed to him by the mobs there. That is why I suggest moving at 80 to Outland or Northrend.

However, as pointed out above, if there is a particular item you are looking for you can always move around to the proper zone. Really most of the stuff from Arch is crap little toys with no real point or gear that is almost outdated now. The sword would be nice just to say you have it but by now most people have an entire bank worth of old gear and weapons they kept "just to say they have it".

I have used arch now to level 6 toons from lvl 60 to 85 and it works great.
