Archeology now useless to level up?

Im not really seeing the purpose anymore in leveling up arch to 525 at any point. All the weapons and sheilds are now surpassed by the new armor from honor/justice so whats the point? Has anyone heard of any advancements to the Archeology items or some new ones next patch?

arch is a good way to gain xp while lvling.

I leveled up with Archeology from 70-85. Just dont train more then 375 and it will be much easier.

im not saying that leveling up via arch isnt useful. Im refering to the point of getting 525 so you can gain epics. My point is that the arch epics are now worthless. since you can get better ones via honor now

Arch is nice to have because if your lucky enough to get 85 BoA, you can let your new 85's use the epic gear.

I think normal flying will go very slow and ground mount is pointless because archeology is lots of travel time. Im using the 310% flyingmount and that's really great for archeology!

Hey I was wondering, why is it much easier then? Cause I am already lvl 445 or so.... and max skill is 525 atm. Did I make a mistake there? I'm using it to level my alt..

I assume that it is because you get spots in Grim Batol and such when being higher level.

For gear, it might be useless once Firelands comes out, but only until they add new archaeology loot to find..

Technicly you can get the best epic at lvl 43 arch when it says 525 it means at lvl 525 it stops giving exp for arch

Well, the Archy items are still (much!) better then honor/justice items for most classes. Especially since there are still no Honor weapons or shields and the Justice weapons/shield have minimum requirements in JP earned this season (and then are still PVP items, nowhere near on par with the Archy weapons). But even the Archy trinket is still awesome as is the ring.
Next to that; you can trade the Archy items between characters on the account.

Also, just because higher level gear is coming with Firelands, it doesn't mean that everyone will have access to the loot straight away. The archaeology epics can be used as a stop gap on the way to getting geared to go to Firelands.

well i guess if you get the vial of sands recipe u can start selling them fr about 40-50k(on my server) So i guess thats a good thing i didnt think about. So something to look forward to. I have no need for money though.( i only pvp)

LOL I didn't know this recipe dropped from ARCH. But that sure as hell makes it worth it IMO. I don't really need gold either as I only play casual pve (Heroics and normal mode, no raiding) and pvp. But just the thrill of making loads of money to be able to buy whatever you want or level profs by powerlevelling (buying mats) is a nice thought
