ArchaeologyBuddy bugging out. Keeps casting buffs until OOM / Doesn't survey

Hi. I've just updated HB to the most recent version and now when running AB my shaman is bugging out.

1. The shaman finds a dig site and heads there fine

2. When the shaman lands he sometimes will survey BUT

--> most of the time he'll just stand there rebuffing flametongue weapon until he's oom.

--> sometimes he'll buff flametongue a few times, then survey, then rebuff more until oom.

any help would be MUCH appreciated!

note: i tried deleting my meshes and letting them redownload after the patch to no avail.

edit: i'm using singular

update: i tried installing the ShamWoW CC and it seems to be fixed. still curious why singular would break though?
