Archaeology

I've been trying to bot Archaeology in order to get my battle tank, and I keep running into the same problem. The bot will constantly ignore the artifact pointer (green, yellow, red) and fly off in some random direction and begin surveying there. For example, if the pointer is green and is pointing North, the bot will fly 100 yards to the South, and survey there instead. Only after I manually reset the bot does it find it's way to the actual artifact.

Any ideas?

Anyone? This problem is truly ridiculous. I'd rather not have to babysit this thing.

Still looking for a solution. I'd like to be able to leave this going for a few hours without having to babysit it. I'm way too close to my battle tank to stop now.
