I know this is a little early but having a Archaeology plugin in atleast in Development would be awesome. All it would have to do it go to the dig site and dig and move on to the next one. Here is all the known information on Archaeology atm. MMO-Champion - Archaeology Cataclysm

This could be huge since most of the items are BOA, Thanks

I'm sure this will be done. I can see something like Auto-Angler for Archaeology in the future.

The only hard part would be reading the direction of the Survey equipment.

Exactly. I know the bot could get to the areas, and use the spell, but I'm doubting it could determine the direction of the artifact (unless theres something behind the scenes that I don't comprehend).

Taking this up again, and requesting it if possible, ive tried to look into the mechanism of the survey spell, and cant seem to figure out what it is.
On the other hand, im thinking, maybe every fragment is placed at the same spot, if it does, wouldnt it be easier to get it to collect the fragment?
This is just my point of view and im no expert :P

Did anyone get anywhere with this? it would be amazing if it could be botted..

from the little Archaeology i have done the nodes seem to spawn in the same places like there are 10-15 in each dig site

wtb archeology plugin. with endless fragments farming!!!

keep it up!!

'archy' is an addon that shows where your digsites are.. so that should be programmable i guess?
and i've thought about somehow reconising the survey tri-pod thingy only thing i've seen is the S.A.L. addon ..
which puts a line on your screen that shows where the tri-pod thingy is pointing towards...

don't know if it will be off any help to you guys... i actually don't know anything about programming and scripting, im just thinking out loud here...
i would love to see a profile for archaeology tbh ;)

edit: btw i just noticed archy saves the spawn points of the artifacts aswell

SAL doesnt detect where the telescope is pointing. You have to manually face the same direction as the telescope and hit a button to store your character's facing and location for writing the line on your screen

I bet someone can figure this out somehow or create a hack to do it... would be badass if it was possible. :)

yeah i?ve noticed it whilst i was using it... shitty stuff btw ..

lol that thread was deleted but the plugin works wonderfully. i just finished off my 3rd dig site :) figure they'll disable it/break it with the next release.

Why can i only see an fully working and 100% afkable archaelogy plugin on an "another" site ? It was made by HB coders, but i cant see it on this forum :(

The whole thing with the posts being deleted about that plugin just makes me think of the HB staff in a very dim light. i guess tis thread will go the same way. its sad to think that there is a plugin that does this but its not being released. sad panda :(
