I'm going to gather a couple of stats on the recent bans and try to compile them to possibly see, what is being targeted by Blizzard right now.

Hypothesis 1: All accounts were EU, it doesn't matter wheter it is SoR or Paid, mostly GatherBuddy users were banned.

Hypothesis 2: HonorBuddy is not detected, it is gathering that is somehow being targeted now. EZbot/Crawlerbot users have been banned as well!

Hypothesis 3: Blizzard has been taking very harsh actions against gatherbots during the last week, even long time experienced botters have been hit. => BE CAREFUL ABOUT GATHERBOTTING AT THIS TIME!

Ur inaccurate.. you missed one entry where someone was questing.
A few minutes later, someone else posted "questing" as well.

So GB only, as your summary suggests? Nope.
