Anyone have any reports of having their ban lifted for wrongly 'abuse of economy'?

I just started 5 man dungeon buddy and reached lv 5x in 2 days and then it got banned for abuse of economy, I never traded with anyone - I put up a few cloths in the AH that I found and thats it. Max peak gold I had on each of the account was 10-30g.

I am using a vpn though, I believe its fairly good one since I've been using one of the other ips of the vpn on another pc for over a year now without issue.

Should I appeal? All 5 accts where under one battlenet so I dont know how I should proceed.

Ehm 5x lvl 100 in 2 days.. well there is your answer ;-)
Right now? Dungeonbuddy doesn't even work properly and that was the fastest method to level :( took me 3 days for them to get to 5x using dungeonbuddy since singular healing fails so much atm
Still a loss of 25$ (luckily brought sale keys for $5) + an extra 24$ from RAF bonus

Abuse of economy is their catch-all excuse. They use it when they know you were botting and they don't want to come right out and say you were botting.

Just because that's the reason they gave, it doesn't mean you're any less guilty of botting.

Appeal anything you want. If you have success, good for you.

Hello gamer427,

Out of the previous replies, you have probably get the idea, where your mistake was.

Never start all-out with the botting in the first 3 days of account creations. It is well known that Blizzard is closely monitoring all the accounts in the first 72 hours after creation.

Just play it smart, do the 1-15 and few dungeon levels in day one, then continue further on day 2, and top them to 90 in day 3.

Do not get over the common casuals play times in the first days.

For Blizzard is quite easy to spot the botters, when they start bot for 10-16hours/day from first moment of account creation.

Happy botting.

Once got banned for this reason, appealed it because I never traded to other players, got unbanned in two days.

Shame that I made a fake name so I cant provide documents unless I make a fake drivings license lol

im not saying the 3 day isnt legit, but ive never had a fresh 3 day account banned... I normally bot up to 20 using trial, then when it offers me the discount for the WOD base I buy it then continue botting to 100. Never been hit with a ban like that.

This is great advice. You set all kinds of flags off with creating an account(s) and immediately start botting heavily. You have little to lose by appealing, but its pretty much a crap shoot as to whether or not you will get it back. If you do happen to win the appeal, it would be wise not to jump right back in botting on the account.

I actually had this happen to me a while back as well. Fresh 5 wow accounts, raf'ed together. Quested to lvl 15 with questing bot (was monitoring it all the time though), then started doing dungeons. Within 3 days they were banned. Alsp for the reason 'abuse of economy'. I called blizzard and they explained to me that they detected 3rd party software and that they use the 'abuse of economy' reason often. Didnt say why though.
