However, in these cases we can't really do any exceptions for anyone. Using bots implies an unfair advantage over other players since they keep improving your account little by little. This has a huge impact on other players and the game itself as it belittles other people efforts. The sanction is the same for all the players and we have no choice to reduce it or remove it. After 10 years of game we wish to end this once and for all. I am sorrry I have to give you this bad news but I hope you understand the reason why your account has this ban. Please, don't answer this message or ask about the ban again since we won't add anything on this matter and we won't answer any more. But please feel free to contact us about any other problem you may have.

Appealing doesnt work of course... since so many got hit they wont believe any excuse no matter how good you can put up an act.

Guess i send in a appeal.

My brother used the computer, i didnt know he had access to my account and botted on in.

Classic.

Won't work. Your responsibility to not lose your access to your account. They won't risk unbanning another botter after this large banwave :)

The place where you could legitimately make a gain is with older accounts that got perma-banned. You could write a literate looking ticket and ask that the old perma-banned accounts get reverted to 6 month bans. Hell, if the account has been banned for long enough you might even ask that it be reinstated, seeing as they are handing out 6 to 18 month suspensions and some other account has been out of commission for maybe 3 years or more.

Why would they reverse a perm-ban as they state that those kind of bans are "never" to be reversed, no matter what. ? I'd like to know what to say to them if you have an idea how to get that to work lol! I do have one that is like 3yrs old or something

I was sarcastic. What i said is what many people that have done wrongdoing says.
Try to pin it on someone and thing then they will get the account back.
Im well aware of the rules ;)

On player-reported bans you might have a chance appealing, but not on mass banwaves that are detection based. I've never had one overturned from a detection, and boy have I tried.

I think that it depends on why you were perma-banned. If you were banned because they say you were exploiting the economy then I don't think it's gunna work, but if you were perma banned for botting and it was your first offense then I think you put in a ticket and politely ask them to review your account. You say that most everyone caught up in the recent ban-wave was suspended for 6 months and you would like them to reconsider changing the perma-ban to a 6 month ban. I imagine the first appeal ticket will be denied without them even reading it. You resubmit the ticket and tell them you'd really like a second chance at being a fair playing part of the blizzard community and the prospect of having an account returned to you is a real incentive to toe the line...or something like that.
