I just bought a pokefarmer key, but whenever i try to open up pokefarm, it gives me a api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing error. I've tried to install Visual C++ 64 bit for Windows 7 Ultimate, but it still doesn't work. i cant update my windows because its not genuine, and doesn't allow me to update. Is there any work around's to this? Thanks.

i had the same issue as you man, i had to update my computer which i hadn't done since 2/24/2014, windows updater was searching for updates for hours on end and still nothing happened. i ended up searching around the windows forums and came up with some things that worked for me

this is my post on windows forums
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...6b-5cc838679a5c?rtAction=1470357443219&auth=1

it has links to updates i manually downloaded and installed which helped me out, i got those links from the second post on this topic
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...-updates/be46fe4e-926c-4e21-819c-a8424e0ec697

download all the updates and install them one at a time then download the windows client update march 2016 and update that. eventually you're pc should start finding updates it self if this doent work you can try the other methods posted in these two topics. i also downloaded this and installed it Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) - 14.0.23026

hope this works, cheers

hope this works, cheers

There is a lot of weird workarounds for Windows updates. It's a shame they're so broken.
I just leave my machine attempting to update and go to bed, by morning it's typically ready to go unless the thing is a damn toaster. Just make sure it can't sleep/hibernate.

For clarification, Windows is detecting that his install is fraudulent. He's going to need to correct that before he can update through conventional methods.

we can check this after we are done with the updates
