Just curious going to be on vacation was gonna take my laptops along, and try and bot using my Iphone Mobile hotspot.

Anyone doing this successfully ?

Never tried with Demonbuddy, but for WoW/Honorbuddy it worked just fine. Latency was a bit high but for farming it was allright.

I do when on the road. Just have to be careful because the different IP's will require you to verify your SA. So if your the OO, then all is good, but for ppl that may have purchased their account, it could cause a headache if you don't know what your SA is. D3 makes this easier now that you can answer right there, but a royal pain doing this for wow, resetting passwords FTL.

Nope. Sprint FTW. Only true unlimited data plan available in US as far as I know.

I use my verizon 4g for gaming sometimes. Gaming really doesn't use up a whole lot of data. In a 24 hour period of nearly continuous botting on D3 it used up ~450 MB (this was through my ***** not my phone but the data usage is the same either way). Granted if you are on a limited data plan like a 2Gb plan that is a large chunk of data to use in a single day, but if you are on vacation and only doing it for a few hours a day then you should be fine. I have unlimited on my verizon plan so I don't have to really worry about the data usage.

On the verizon 4g as long as I'm in an area with descent reception you really can't tell a difference from playing on a land line. 4G in my area is faster than most DSL services in the area lol. There are occasional latency spikes that you usually wont see on a solid land line, but other than that it's pretty smooth.

I'm using a 4G modem 24/7 on my computer.

It's the only internet I got so... 100/100 MBIT as well.

And yes, I've used my iPhone as a "modem" as well :) Was slower, obviously, but it worked.

I have a grandfathered Verizon unlimited plan : ). Yes tethering works. Yes it's kinda laggy but who cares :D!
