Anyone running a 4790k

Haha please boy, get your head out of your ass.

Calling the piledriver and bulldozer microarchitecture 8 cores shows how full of dreams you are.

Both the 8350 and 9590 are good chips for multithreading, but they just plain suck for botting purposes compared to intel's cpu's. I am not an intel fanboy, I actually bought a 8350 with mobo last month for my third computer because someone else on this forum was claiming how good it was. Having tested it myself, I sold it for a loss and bought a 3770k with an old mobo I had laying around.

"I have a 10,000 dollar intel pc and a 6,000 dollar amd pc sitting right next to eachother"

Yes because a 10k and 6k pc is what we are looking for in a botting pc right?

Intel's superior single core performance + watt vs performance ratio + hyperthreading + high purchase cost outshines amd's poor single core performance + bad watt vs performance ratio + "true" 8 cores (which are only 4 modules)

And like I said; the 8350 and 9590 use so much more watt that those eventually end up being more expensive than an ivy or haswell cpu.

stop spreading misinformation you god damned retard.

do us all a favor.

look here Intel Core i7 4770K vs AMD FX 9590

im probably old enough to be your dad. Ive been building pc's since before you are born. I dont troll forums for information, i get it from the source.

notice where the amd chip says NOT MULTITHREADED? also notice where it says core count EIGHT and MORE CORES than the MULTITHREADED intel chip?

holy hell......

whats that saying about arguing with an idiot?

EDIT: since ive calmed down enough to read the rest of your assinine reply... where in his post did he ask which has more performance per watt? Since youve obviously missed the substance of all the posts in this thread.. ill take you back through them. I own BOTH. Im not a fanboy, im objective and correct in my information. Facts are not up for debate.

stop spreading misinformation you god damned retard nice name calling

do us all a favor.

look here Intel Core i7 4770K vs AMD FX 9590 lol at using such a bad resource as cpuboss, take a look here and don't forget the 4770k isn't OCed AnandTech | Bench - CPU

im probably old enough to be your dad. Ive been building pc's since before you are born because spreading disinformation when you are old is oke? I dont troll forums for information, i get it from the source it is nice to hear you work at intel or amd

notice where the amd chip says NOT MULTITHREADED? also notice where it says core count EIGHT and MORE CORES than the MULTITHREADED intel chip?logical core != physical core and 4 physical + 4 logical cores != 8 modules

holy hell......

whats that saying about arguing with an idiot?I know, I don't understand why I do it

EDIT: since ive calmed down enough to read the rest of your assinine reply... where in his post did he ask which has more performance per watt? yeah, because saving energy on a machine that is working 24/7 is not something you do like right? It is not like he is doing it for profit. Since youve obviously missed the substance of all the posts in this thread .. ill take you back through them. I own BOTH. Im not a fanboy, im objective and correct in my information. Facts are not up for debate indeed they aren't, so stop trying to argue about them lol

And I really don´t care about arguing about if the piledriver and bulldozer micro architecture are "true" cores like intel's. It is mostly semantics, but the facts remains that the bulldozer/piledriver isn't even close to ivy and haswell for botting purposes.

So please just stop spreading disinformation because you might actually hurt other people by your trolling or whatever you are doing. Bad advice stays bad advice.

So far all I have said in this thread should be reason enough to pick an intel and I haven't seen any good reason so far to go with AMD.

Kids, kids .... stop it please!

Its X-mass after all!

This is botting community here, and some of us bot for profit.

If someone is going to make business with the botting, he/she needs reliable, fast, scale-able and power saving solution! The Inter Core i7 architecture processors are all we need .... period!

Some lore:
I am big fan of AMD since 1995, when we had Intel i486 then Pentium 75 and AMD 486-DX4-100, then K5-75 only, and a stick of 1MB RAM was going for $100 street price, but ... I was still a student, and could not afford, neither I needed the best solution.

Now, 20 years later, it is nearly the same, Intel still has the lead, and when we talk for money, and earning these money, AMD just can't stand, neither with performance or the power consumption and higher temperatures.

I do pay dirty coins for electricity in my country, but from what-I-heard, in European Union and USA you can save quite a coins, if you own power-saving solution! These machines are going to work 24/7, on heavy or full load in the most of time!

No need to mention, if you have the machines in your living room, or bedroom, you still need them silent enough to feel comfortable enough!

The people above have mentioned the other serious aspects of the machine setup, so no point to rephrase them again.

Amd 1045t is egough to run max sesstions pre flag

I7 = waste

Shoot u should have 30% head room when hitting max preflag sesstions

Hell you all are touting running 10+ instance of wow and HB together.. I wish I could just run 1 on my laptop and be able to run a instance without it stuttering worse then a misfiring lawnmower... I have a HP dv2945se with 6gb or ram, and it usually runs about 80% cpu usuage with everything set on low, and nothing else running in the background. running win 7 home 64 also....

Laptop CPU`s are generaly less powerful because of lower wattage, they need to be somewhat portable you know.

oh I know, but damn I have a 2nd machine at home running a amd 4core lower end cpu and 8gb of ram and same thing, just runs lagging and choppy.
