A lot of tutorials/guides on here are saying to log off when you're going to sleep, instead of afking your bot overnight.

For me, that kind of depletes the purpose of having the bot, and I do run my bot overnight usually. I'm just curious if anyone has been doing this with any of their bots for a long time without getting banned?

People say staying logged in too long gets you flagged, but I think there would be WAY too many false positives for Blizz to check out with the sheer amount of people that play this game. Any 24/7 botters doing it big?

I do, but as always it is ill advised.

I believe the saying is "Don't bot what you can't lose"

However when botting 24/7 you slowly work your way up to 24 hours. Say go 8, than 14, than 18, than 24 hours.

I'd be willing to wager they trend this data over time. Although I have no evidence to support this, I can't think of a reason why not too. Playing for 24 hours straight isn't that unusual, I know people that have done this on weekends. Even playing 20+ hours a day every day of the week could suggest account sharing, which also violates the ToS with the exception of minor children who you can legitimately share an account with.

But playing 24x7, for months at a time, would be a huge indicator of a bot. At a minimum someone running anti-AFK software. If I were Blizzard I would definitely trend this data on a weekly or monthly basis and then flag accounts for investigation that exceed a threshold.

Even then, the most they would do on a first time offender is probably hand out of a 72h suspend to scare you into stopping. I know a guy that suffers from insomnia and heart problems that literally plays like 20 hours a day every day. Although people like him are rare, they probably would still choose to fire a warning shot before a kill shot.

Best bet is to have 2 accounts, if you only have 1 session. That way you do have your Bot purchase paying out max by running 24/7. Being online w/ 1 account that long, is just stupid in itself, if you are running for mutiple days. I've had my main account, yes my main, online for 48 hours one time, started the bot, went to sleep, woke up, and did some actual playing, then botted the next night, then played all day, and finally logged off.
This was about 2 weeks ago, I wouldn't leave it on for like a full week or anything, think of what a normal player would do? Would you be on your character for 2 days straight? It might also depend on how long your character has been online in the past. Kind of a base line that Blizzard might look at. If you have only played 4 hrs a day for the past 4 months, then 1 week you are online for 6 days straight... Kindof throws up a BS symbol to Blizz.

EDIT: I almost always bot for at least 18 hours a day, then I'll be offline for a day or two, then bot for a full 24. I had to go to work or something it shows to blizz.

i dont bot 24/7 il bot 15 hours a day you get quick lvl to its to riski to bot 24/7 and be all the time ingame

I did it for 2 weeks (and there's only an 1 day break in it) on 3 accounts simultaneously to get to level 85. No bans.

Well.. I'm just wondering if it's actually true that they keep track of your hours, or if they base their bans solely on bot program detection and player reports. I mean, people say that botting 24/7 will get you banned, but where's e the source to this claim? Sure it might make sense if Blizzard has the securities in place, but who says they do? Is the warning just cautionary?

I'm just wondering because a couple of botters I know pretty much bot non-stop and have been safe for a couple of months, despite this warning. With all the people using HB, I am sure there are actually quite a few people running these bots throughout the week.

I usually just try and talk as much as I can throughout the day, and leave it running throughout the night, that way even if they look at logs they will find me a very active player.

i bot around 10 hours a day and sometimes i bot 48 hours straight doing this for like 3 months now no ban yet

I'm using a relogger 2 hrs on 5 min off well more or less it's a bit random.
Been doing that 3 days strait even including 7hrs stuck underneath a forge!!!

I bot all the freaking time. Only stop it the night Maintrance/Server updates comes.
Ben doing so with all the chars ive botted up. And stil no ban. and i have botted +20 to 80

lol going on 5 yaers of nearly 24 hour botting aside from raids, and oh yea, its my main account

Since I bought the bot a few months back I have always botted 24/7 as much as possible. However the fact that I have limited internet and it will disconnect when I have used so much I think has kept me from being banned. In my opinion if they were to see an obvious botter they would be botting 24 hours everyday. I went more like, 24 hours this day. 2 this day. None this day. 25 hours this day :). 15 hours this day.

A GM contacted my guild master saying someone had reported my char flying rounds or walking rounds. I don't think blizz cares about the bots in that respect to actually hunt them down. It's a big corporation that needs to make money, so why would they spend money to find accounts to ban?

But I do think they care about other people seeing bots in game. And in that respect they need to keep a "clean" impression to their customers.

I think the 24/7 is no problem, only the fact of the risc you run getting stuck, and getting reported by another player.

Seriously, think of it. There are millions of ways to detect bots ingame by behavorial patterns. It's just not a good idea for their cash flow. Simple as that.
