I know all the basics on how to use a rice cooker, but what I'm after are people's recipe suggestions to make a tasty rice (rather than just plain rice) that would go well with a curry (a hot or sweet curry.)

The instructions don't really give you any ideas, and searching on Google for recipes seem to only give you recipes for anything BUT rice in a rice cooker.

i use minute rice with soy sauce and pieces of chicken (or turkey / lamb / venison / steak)

or sometimes broccoli with a little butter

yeah i got a few good recipes, I am a sous chef in a 5 star hotel.

I only use a rice cooker for Sushi, for a really good indian chicken curry I would steam the rice in a steam pan. (dont forget to wash the rice).

For 500 gram rice add 2cm water and bring to the boil. Boil for 5 minutes until nearly all of the water has evaporated and surface is covered with little holes.
Cover with a tight fitting lid, (if your lid is not tight enough to seal wrap in a clean tea towel taking care that the ends are secured on the top away from the flame). Turn the heat down as low as possible and cook without removing the lid for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and allow to sit for 5 minutes with the lid on before serving.

Good luck
