So... I got this in-game mail from someone on one of the servers that I'm currently botting at.

Has anyone gotten anything smiliar?

"Hello charactername.
I see that you're collecting ores and herbs by using an 3rd party program.
I got a good video, and a lot of screenshots on what your bot has been doing.
You've been stuck, running into bridges, rocks and similar world objects.

Now, I assume that you didn't buy Mists of Pandaria to get your account banned. Therefore, I'm here to offer you a solution.
I can forget that this ever happened, if you're paying this C.O.D that I sent.

Payment = I forget it.
Non payment = Reported."

Well?

hmm, sounds like some teenager that's bored really..
just tell him blackmailing is illegal, and he can be sued irl, and faced with jailtime..

that should scare him enough...

lol never seen something like that, dont think it matters tho, i wouldnt bee too scared.

send 1 copper and a piece of Cheese from the Cheese Store.

blizzard do not accept videos or screenshot evidence, although don't tell him that so he wastes his time.

a good laugh can be gotten from this waste of time.

Send a mail back saying that blackmailing is illegal, and it is something blizzard will frown upon, more than botting.

.. Oh, send the mail COD ofc.

Blackmailing can be tracked alot easier than botting. Especially if he sent it in a mail. He might aswell hang himself.

so we agreed on me being right and everyone else is my minions?
great ;D !

just report him, but act like a retard
u know, bumping into walls, bridges...blizz gonna understand :D

Hahahaha 5k gold is nothing these days although I'd still not pay up ofc.
Report him for harrassment.

Tell him your mouse battery went out on you and that he should report anything he thinks is a bot but that Blizzard will frown on his blackmail threats so he should be careful because the next person may not be as forgiving as you

Say you don't know what a bot is, followed by pointing out that harassing and blackmailing are against the rules and blizzard take them extremely seriously. Throw in that this is his one and final warning and that if he harasses you any further then you have no choice but to flag his behaviour up to blizzard.

Something like that.

on the last episode of "the thread"
qwee asked for guidiance with the internet gods!, and await and thee shall find! .. indeed...
1) i mentioned it was illegal, as my minions did following..
2) people said "meh, don't pay" (not exact words)
3) people said "Report him for: harrasment, blackmailing etc."

/Thread has now officialy been milked for content, please.. do not type anything else, since all the possibilities (i hate that word) has been listed..

now!
be on you're way!

/Vires

Id have a close look at his armory profile as the fact that he referred to it as a 3rd party program tells me that he is probably using something himself.

i just got the same mail but 100k gold i sent back the cod will see what will happen
