Anyone else find it interesting that only newer or reactivated accounts were hit?

I've got a circle of about ten or so friends that play WoW.

3 of us were hardcore botters, myself included. I have 2 accounts that pretty much Garrison botted and Gundrak botted non stop, also used the mage gladiator routine in arena a bit on main. These accounts have been mainly active for a while.

The rest all came back to wow with the purpose of botting arena/raiding using routines but they were all either new accounts or reactivated for the first time this expansion. They ALL got banned 6 months.

Non of my accounts got hit, my other friend who botted arena on an old account thats been active for a very long time also didn't get hit.

Either this is a wave hitting newly active accounts first or the the software wasn't actually detected. I just may be on borrowed time for all I know...

This is far far from the truth. Thousands of accounts got banned, including many users saying that their 10 year old accounts were banned, too. Every variety of account doing every variety of botting activity were banned. Spend 10 minutes reading and you'll clearly see that.

My Account was ~2.5 weeks old, ran HB heavily for those 2.5 weeks 16+ hours/day was running it when the trip wire hit... with an auto logger which kept trying to log back in and my account was not hit. I really feel like this ban wave was largely report based as I ran plugins to avoid players and hearthstone on stuck. Never ran pvp or anything interactive. Plus if HB was truly "detected" it would all be perma bans and not term bans.

Where do you guys come up with this crap? I had 2 new battle net accounts hit (CR use only).. People need to stop making these assumption posts.. overly annoying

The profile worked flawlessly...could run it for multiple days at a time without even checking the screen on a spare computer. Got close to 900g per hour and made me tons of gold over 2 years of botting 7 days a week. Account still works, no bans (yet).

I'm sure there are better places but once I find a bug free/hands off profile, I stick to it like glue. I made more gold than I know what to do with anyway.

Considering 99.9% of the old botting accounts were hit last time, nope - the only thing you would/could see...........

1 account with legion preordered on that i botted is not banned didnt get caught last time either
account that caught in the last wave got 18months this time around
its just pure luck tbh

I had accounts that didnt get hit in the first wave that have been here since HB first started and through the First HB ban Ever, and they got banned this time.
I think it is just random i think they can detect the bots and just go about banning even in the waves randomly to keep the Devs guessing and head scratching.
