Any speculation on what will make the most gold in legion?

Hey guys, I am probably going to use the gold I made from my suicide bots the past month (at 390k atm, waiting till 500k) to purchase legion on my level 100. He was an old felblight botter, a shaman. I am doing invasions to gear him up and leveling herbalism and mining. Going to hand level him to 110 and start gathering. Any speculation on what will be the best way to make gold? Class order halls/profession/farming wise?

It'll probably be the usual, gathering professions that'll bloom the market for the first few weeks.

Not sure what the point of this comment is as it in no way relates to the question at hand...

Gold cap now would be 240 million across a server anyways (10 million on character, 10 million in gbank across 12 characters and 12 guilds per realm per account). 10 million gold isn't super impressive anymore.

I was wondering the same but looking at previous expansions, raw mats like ores, herbs, leather and cloth are always in very high demand the first month(s) into a new expansion, as crafted gear is always pretty strong at the start of an expansion.

So i'd say try and get your hand on ores and herbs (AFAIK they're the most easy to get and the highest in demand). After the prices of those mats drop due to higher supply/lower demand, people will probably have figured another way to make gold. Maybe MoP raids or WoD dungeons/raids farming.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Probably gathering/farming stuff big in the first month, die down the next 2-3, then I may get level 100 suicide bots and test the MoP dungeons to see what brings more gold, and if its better than the wotlk ones.

MoP dungeons wont give a lot of gold - potentionally WoD dungeons trash farm could be interesting with decent gear -

but i would assume the best farms will be 5 man group grinds (since the new loot system for group loot) - maybe if you want to go to level 110 you can do 5 man WoD dungeons very quick.

but it will probably take a couple of months until legion is cheap enough to make it viable for gold farming - So most bots will stick to level 100 so nothing will change so much except for less people running around in draenor / pandaria so there will be more opportunity to farm there outside of instances

There are some new mats needed for nearly everything. Check for those who are not soul bound and try to farm them. In the beginning this brings most of the gold I think.
