Topic basically, i know its silly to expect anything day 1 or 2, but i was just wondering how long it might take for someone to whip up a simple, sit in one spot and grind mobs, i assume fates would be hard since the player would have had to run through all the fates etc.

Just wondering its always nice to get free exp while sleeping, even if its just endlessly grinding mobs, it lets me just focus on the main story and not have to deal with any of the other crap.

The biggest issue you'll have with a grinding profile in the first week is if said mobs are used for any type of quest. You'll not only be competing against other botters, but with regular players killing those mobs as well. While it would be nice and you likely may see a few crop up, using Fate Bot or playing manually will probably be quicker/safer for the first week or two.

Soon™ is all I can officially say. :p

Wouldn't FateBot take some time to implement for new zones, new fates, new targets, etc?

Not really, its implementation is very general I believe. I know there's at least one dev who's going to try make the expansion's questing profiles and have them done as soon as possible.

I would just be happy with being able to grind old areas still such as Camp Dragonhead.

You can; the only change that would need to be made to the existing Grind profile is to remove any part at the end that ends the profile when your level exceeds 49/hits 50, and Fate Bot should work fine as is in any existing zone by just setting the minimum Fate level to be far enough below 60 to catch each fate you want.

Here is the 1-50 grind profile updated to keep grinding Coerthas Central Highlands until 60 (note that it may eventually keep killing mobs that grant no experience, and thus never end):

I will say I am wondering how long as well. I personally don't really even care about the new content due to only starting about a month ago. I would like to get my DOH and my other Jobs done before really moving into new content. only thing about new content is there is so much gil to be made in BOT and Mining.

ill be happy with a day 1 bot that does my rotation... ill play by hand. Just dont wanna do the rotations lol.

One of the posts before the forum crash mentioned that mastahg may focus on exactly that; combat/CR functionality first, with everything else disabled and slowly integrated and reenabled over time. Still no ETA, but it seems like this portion is the easiest for him to adapt for FF14 3.0.

It is for when the bot goes back up; it just allows you to run this profile right away (once the grindbot feature is activated) to start grinding level 49/50 mobs until a new profile is made which incorporates the new areas in the expansion.
