All HB instances crashed , site crashed then i got this :

Is it safe to start bots now?

Yes, the site went down, and in that case the buddy bots were shut off because of the Auth not being available is my best guess.

Not sure why, could be a ddos, or could have been a hiccup on the network etc. Looks like everything is running again now though.

There are some global network issues right now. West Coast US is having some serious traffic problems which is affecting all of US.

Please be patient, as this is internet backbone problems far beyond our control. We hope the issue will be corrected shortly, but all anyone can do is wait.
