As per the title. Just finished leveling WHM to 50 with the fate bot (my 4th 50). Thank's Mastahg, Exmortem, and everyone else who's contributed to making this bot successful.

I just started using this myself and I agree, thank you to the people who compiled all of these tools and plugins.

Do you happen to have any suggestions or tips on making the process smooth? I'm not looking to farm gil or items, I simply just want the levels as I have limited time to level alts.

Anchor your RB at a location with better access to FATEs instead of just the Atheryte, blacklist the FATEs that are too far or too low levelled for you, since more FATEs will probably pop on your way to a far FATE and while doing it, making it very time inefficient.

Pretty much this.

1-20 I used the grind bot when I was afk and did hunt logs by hand when I wasn't, after which I went quarrymill 20-29, costa del dol 29-38 and ran out of camp dragonhead to 50. It was a bit slow for the last 5 levels, but the zones with 45+ FATEs (Cerulean Processing Plant, etc) are pretty much empty on my server so I had little option - if they're not empty on your server, I recommend using the higher zone from 40-45 depending on what your gear/class can handle. Still, it got the levels quick enough for my tastes.

I also recommend switching areas sooner if you're on a class with a bit more beef than a WHM (WHM kept dying if I left the above areas sooner than I indicated - not good for xp, all that running back from aetherite).

however like papatoast said, 40+ zones are pretty much empty for my server. I am still grinding it out on coasta del sol at 41.... any better places? :<

I love Coasta del sol for 30 - 50 grinding you get steady xp and fates pop fast best place to level range class.

Even if you went to dragonhead you would miss over half the fates and most the boss fates would 1 shot you so a lot of running back dead so not much xp from fates, your next best place is around level 45 camp bluefrog area up to the processing plant. A regular fate at Coasta del sol would get about 10 to 11k xp at Bluefrog it was around 15 to 16k xp and took over twice as long to do them from a math stand point Coasta is the best xp per hour 30+.

That is unless you do boss fates or big chain fates that lead to boss but right now you will miss all these until you can prioritize fates in a zone.

I'm working on a bard now and I might just take your advice and stick it out at costa the whole way. I never noticed that before about this area: there's *always* a fate up, and they're all quite close together, so any extra xp earned from higher level fates is balanced out.

How long did it take for you to hit 50 ? i tried grinding in southern thanalan and i only got like 40k xp/h. Not really worth it . Also is there a guide on how to setup the fate bot ? cause i dont really know how any of this stuff works. The only thing i really know how to do on a computer is open a fucking word document.

N00b question...

How do you set it so that it syncs levels? Surely I can;t stay in Costa all the way through 50 withing syncing, and I haven't seen the option.

EDIT: I answered my own question. I guess you need to drop the minimum level well below your current level.

Actually, FATE bot already does this by itself without any input.

Somehow it wasn't for me. I had to tell it to do lower level fates. Otherwise it would just run right through them.

For some reason if there are higher level fates in the zone (like much higher) it also prioritizes them unless I tell it not to.

Dunno what the deal is. As soon as I give it a proper range it is good to go. All other settings within fate bot are as they came, default.

RB has been really wonky recently for some reason.

Yeah the Fatebot is sketchy like that. Just set the Min Level to the lowest level Fate in the zone that you want to do (or just set it to 0 if you want to do every Fate) and set the Max Level +1 or +3 (depending on the zone and what you want to do).

Almost every zone I've leveled through I've had to blacklist a few Fates (either because they were too high a level and I didn't want to the bot to ever go to them, or because the bot kept dying at a specific Fate).

Is there a guide on how to set this up? Not sure how to use fatebot and would be awesome if there was a guide on it
