The hilarious part about this ban is that the bot only farmed. The farmed goods were sent to an alt on the account then stashed into the alts guild bank which was shared with my main account. My main account then put the auctions up and such.. zero auctions were ever put up on the bot account haha

***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Impact of Buying Gold - Services - World of Warcraft

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment:Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please go to the following website https://us.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

7)How many auctions per day did you have?:

500+ on my main

Not really, could be a ton of things. Reports, too much farming, public profiles used... You name it. That part that you highlighted is of the least importance.

Have to agree here. I know people putting up close to 1000 and haven't been banned. Now had I put up 500+ of one item, maybe? But it's 500 combined with different ore, herbs, etc :p

And if that was the problem.. why was the bot account banned and not my main that is actually posting the auctions? It just seems weird to me..

Do you guys think that this is temporary? It says:

Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

Notice of Account Closure

It's closed... you get told that it's a 72 hour suspension or whatever. Account Closure means bye-bye for good, no coming back after a slap on the wrist & being sent to your room for 72 hours.

More than likely you were farming an area where someone else wanted to farm and they watched you and reported you. Then all the GM had to do was check the time stamp on your location and banned you since, your actions are what the people that farm and sell for Real cash to outside sourses do. I normally just farm an hour then lay off and go to another toon for a while somewhere else, thus, breaking up the time stamp.
